Fresh take on Seafresh employee newsletter

The challenge

Global seafood business, Seafresh Group, pride themselves on doing the right thing for their customers, business, communities, industry, and of course, their people. Since we launched it in 2015, the quarterly Seafresh employee newsletter The Source had become a trusted channel for employees across five continents. Feedback showed readers saw the employee newsletter as ‘great’, so we wanted to refresh its look and feel without losing all the things that were working well.

The solution

We made the layout even cleaner, refined the colour palette, and added line-drawn illustrations to complement the photography. Employees wanted to hear more from others around the business, so we introduced more quick-quotes to the stories. Conscious of the employee newsletter’s busy audience – operating in factories across Asia, Central America and Europe – we streamlined the content and created big ‘fast facts’ for anyone who only had time to skim the newsletter. We carried the new look and feel to the digital version of the newsletter too.

The results

Acting as an evolution rather than revolution, the refresh kept the newsletter’s familiar essence but with a cleaner, more modern twist. The new-style Seafresh employee newsletter received excellent feedback from across the Group.
