The challenge

Every year, more than 200 dogs are taught at the Guide Dogs for the Blind training school close to our offices in Leamington Spa. Knowing these animals make a world of difference to their future owners’ lives, we contacted the charity to see if there was anything we could do to help by offering our services pro bono through our 44 Community programme. The team asked if we could use our creative content and design skills to revamp some of the kennels in line with the charity’s branding and values.

The solution

We worked closely with the Guide Dogs for the Blind brand guidelines to come up with a bold, typographical treatment that both brightened up the kennels and felt meaningful for all the centre’s users. We produced wall art and sticker displays of words and phrases that are important to the trainers, the charity and the dogs’ owners. We also created a personalised peg area to hang up each dog’s lead and jacket, giving a practical twist to the creative brief.

The results

Our work has helped transform the area at the Guide Dogs for the Blind centre, without costing the charity anything. With wall art and stickers now in place, the kennels are a fresher and brighter place to work and visit.
