We’ve been up to big things this year! As 2024 comes to a close, we’re looking back at some of our highlights – personal and professional – from throughout the year…

Sam Docking, Account Director, said: “I love hearing employees’ voices, so I really enjoyed getting stuck into some Employee Value Proposition workshops with a client earlier in the year. It was great to hear directly from employees about the ‘gives and the gets’, what would make a difference to their work life and how they help the business achieve its mission.”

Hannah Montgomery

Hannah Montgomery, Editor, said: “Reaching the 10th issue of On Track was a big highlight for me. We created this employee newspaper for Siemens Mobility from scratch back in 2022 and it has been received really well – a recent colleague survey across 15 locations found that 90% rated the publication as ‘good’ or ‘excellent’. And to celebrate reaching 10 editions, we created a special cover for the December 2024 issue. It’s a lovely way to mark this milestone and end the year!”

Jo Malby, Account Director, said: “Alongside reaching my one-year anniversary at 44, I’ve supported some incredible projects this year! Helping Volkswagen Group UK achieve Inclusive Employer GOLD Standard was a real stand-out. It required lots of stakeholder organisation, had lots of moving parts and strict deadlines. We really scrutinised their data and information to make sure we helped them present their DE&I strategy in the best possible light.”

Nick Robbins, Account Director, said: “I graduated from my master’s degree in Internal Communication Management this year. Balancing a degree with work was tricky and, to further ‘help’ the situation, I also decided to move house and welcome child number two. Spare time to study, research and write was slightly squeezed, but I learned a lot from the experience!”

Alan CoatesAlan Coates, Partner – Digital, said: “We’ve had a fantastic year in the digital sphere. What we’ve established this year is that not only have we worked on more intranets in one year than ever before – but we’ve been able to support clients at every stage of the process. From audits and discovery for the University of Leicester, design and development for Lancashire Police, through to supporting Volkswagen Group UK at every stage of the process. Brilliant teamwork all-round.”

Lily Robson, Editorial Assistant, said: “Earlier this year, I graduated from Newcastle University, which was a huge achievement. Following a week of work experience here at 44, I began working here which has been an amazing first post-graduate job. I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know everyone and becoming part of the team, and also working on some really exciting projects like the Volkswagen Group UK intranet!”

Corin Ashby, Partner, said: “My highlight of this year was the creation of a new business from idea to reality in less than four months with the help of my very talented 44 team. The design, content and production of golfretreats.com was only made possible by the input and hard work of numerous skilled colleagues – for which I am very grateful.”
