Grab your whistles, because the IoIC Central and North Awards is set to be one of the coolest raves in the internal comms calendar and, with two shortlistings tucked into our Stussy hoodies, 44 is on the guest list.
This year the ceremony, which celebrates IC’s best of the best across the Midlands and North, will be held at Birmingham’s Custard Factory.
The theme is ‘KommsKlub’ – think bucket hats, glow sticks and pumping basslines.
We’re particularly pumped for the awards evening after being shortlisted for not one, but two awards. These are as follows:
- Best Campaign: Employee Assistance Programme for the Metropolitan Police Service
- Newspaper/Newsletter: The Point for EDF Energy by EDF Energy and 44 Communications
The Custard Factory, also known as Birmingham’s Creative Quarter, was built in 1906 to – unsurprisingly – produce Bird’s Custard. It has since been converted into a contemporary hub, home to an eclectic mix of businesses and shops, and has hosted a range of exciting events.
The IoIC Central and North Awards will be held on Thursday 26 March. We’re buzzing about being in the mix for prestigious prizes.
Gemma Houltby, Partner at 44 Communications, said: “We’re delighted to have the opportunity to celebrate our achievements alongside our clients and industry peers. It’s even more exciting given that Birmingham has become 44’s second home – the Custard Factory is a stone’s throw from our city centre offices – and we’re looking forward to what I’m sure will be a very special event.”
So watch this space! We’re hoping the night will Altern 8 between fun and awards glory, showing us to be The Shamen of IC, bringing us Utah Saint-ly status as at least one of our Opus projects is heralded as The Prodigy of the night!
