World class act


It’s the biggest internal communications awards in the world – and 44 will be starring in it for the second time in three years after winning an IABC Gold Quill award for Best Publication.

In partnership with Barclaycard and partner Write the Talk, 44 design and produce The Globe, Barclaycard’s perfect-bound, news-stand quality employee magazine.

It’s the publication’s third major awards triumph in six months – after picking up two first prizes at the European-wide FEIEA awards in November and winning the ‘best of the best’ honour at the IoIC Central awards in February.

If that wasn’t enough, out of the 223 entries that won Gold Quills this year across all the categories, The Globe was one of only four UK-based entries to be recognised, with judges hailing the magazine as a ‘beautiful-looking publication’.

“This is fantastic recognition for a fantastic project and team,” said Corin Ashby, partner at 44. “I’m so proud of the team for producing quality creative work that’s considered among the best of its kind in the world.”

For more than 40 years, IABC’s Gold Quill Awards have recognised and awarded excellence in strategic communication worldwide. The awards will be presented at the Excellence Awards Gala, to be held on Monday 6 June at World Conference in New Orleans.
