Hana Moonwalks a marathon
What would make walking a marathon even harder? How about doing it when you should be asleep? That’s exactly what 44’s Hana did when she took on The Moonwalk London 2017 last weekend.
Joining 15,000 bra-clad women (and men), 44’s Hana Evans has walked 26.2 miles across the nation’s capital on behalf of Walk the Walk – a grant-giving breast cancer charity.
Starting at midnight last Saturday, Hana, her mum and two aunties completed the course during the early hours of Sunday in eight and a half hours, raising more than £1,300 between them.
“It was by far the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but the sense of elation as I crossed the finish line was worth all the pain!” said Hana.
“The marshals were fantastic. They were all volunteers and mostly friends and family of people taking part. They clapped you the whole way round for what you were doing for the charity. It was really emotional, and they definitely helped you get through.
“Thank you to everyone who sponsored us. It definitely kept me going while my body was giving up.”
